Regional American Food, inspired by traditional recipes. With an emphasis on ingredients sourced from local waters and farms, Jackson 20 celebrates the local bounty in each dish. The chef’s extensive seafood selection includes dishes such as Maryland Crab Chowder, Grilled Brook Trout and Roasted Virginia Striped Bass.

The frequently-changing menu demonstrates the restaurant’s commitment to organic ingredients and sustainability with a chef’s garden planted in the courtyard, and featured fruits, vegetables and meat purchased through local, trusted farmers.


Chef Jeff Armstrong’s culinary style can be best defined as American with a Southern twist. His Jackson 20 menu is a celebration of the region and local produce, farms and waters. Jeff attributes his great grandmother to much of his gastronomic persuasion. With a father traveling in the military, Jeff, his mother, brother and sister spent a lot of time on his great grandmother’s farm in Goldsboro, North Carolina. It was her style and the farm-to-table freshness in her food that influenced his palate and flavor profile. Almost everything they ate was farm fresh, from the veggies and dairy to the chicken and beef. Jeff’s gastro-culture is very much rooted in the belief of all things local, organic and sustainable. And he passes on these principles to guests of Jackson 20 in a most delicious way.
